God's work continues to change hearts and minds of international students from across the world!

"And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." Philippians 1:6, NLT

"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love." Romans 8:38, NLT

"You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas." Psalm 65:5, NLT

"Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy."Psalm 126:5, NLT

When was the last time you heard good news? I mean a genuine, does-your-heart-good kind of news. Headlines continue shouting threats and acts of global terrorism and financial ruin. And we are continually bombarded with news of ongoing egregious acts against unborn children in our very own country! It’s easy to forget what good news even looks like!

I want to take some time to remind you of some of the amazing ways in which God is working through International Students, Inc.! Lives are being changed. Lives are being saved! It is my hope that these updates remind you of how "God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns" (Philipians 1:6, NLT).

This summer alone, International Students, Inc. staffers were able to propel our M:28 Global Discipleship model forward by holding training sessions across China, India and Japan. Because of their tireless efforts, several hundred new leaders are ready to help spread the Gospel across the globe! Join us in praying for these leaders as they share the Gospel.

Please also join us in praising Him for so many answered prayers! Just in this last Academic Year (July 1, 2014—July 30, 2015), International Students, Inc. was able to reach 69,587 students in the United States alone, with an estimated 9,228 students accepting Christ--that’s one student per hour!

Our online outreach efforts over the last 18 months have now made 126,977 Gospel presentations, of which 6,339 students responded to accept Christ, most of them from Middle Eastern countries. We also greatly rejoice in 4,636 inquiries specifically requesting discipleship and further online mentoring!

We have also had great success with the iStudents App. Through this vehicle alone, we’ve already seen the App opened 11,981 times by users, 4,386 downloads, and a total of 45,926 visits to its pages!

How can we be anything but profoundly grateful to God and faith-filled about the future? Psalm 126:5 speaks of “tears of joy” when the harvest comes in. We’ve shed those tears, such as when reports like this reach us…

A new student attended church with me for the first time in her life, and asked many questions, showed great openness and a quick grasp of spiritual truth, including the Gospel message. I had her join our Friday night M:28 group. She seemed a step ahead of me and at the end of our discussion, I invited her to accept Jesus. She prayed and expressed her joy. “From now on,” she said,  “Fridays will be my favorite day!” What a work of God! She’s only spent three weeks in the United States. She and I also do one-on-one together and will begin  the  “Passing  Truth  On”  M:28  Discipleship Training when her questions slow down. Last week, she asked me about the Holy Spirit: who He is and what He does for us!

Friend, God is doing amazing work! Yes, it's true that much of our seed has been sown on the rocky soils of hostile, spiritually-starved lands. But be encouraged that our Lord is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow!

Please take some time to pray that the harvest will continue to come in—that the fruits of what God has done continue to grow and ripen.

I also encourage you to take some time to pray over the fruits of God's blessings in your life! Regardless of what kind of news infiltrates our lives, remember that His "good work within you will continue!" Remember that nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus.

Thank you for being such an encouragement to us here at International Students, Inc. Please visit my blog again soon to learn more about that God is doing in the hearts and mind of students from across the globe!
